FIRST STATE BASEBALL CAMPS
First State Baseball Camps offers several baseball skills camps and a winter instructional baseball clinic througout the course of the year. The youth camps are specifically designed to teach younger players the fundamental skills of the game of baseball. Other camps include skill-specific instructional hitting and pitching camps for players in grades 8 through 12. In our instructional showcase camps, high school players are given the opportunity to receive instruction from college coaches and professional baseball players while, at the same time, showcase their baseball talents in competitive games and pro-style workouts.
Facilities
The winter instructional baseball clinic will take place inside Memorial Hall and will include a baseball related strength and conditioning orientation inside the brand new 17,000 square foot weight room to be lead by the DSU strength and conditioning staff.
Soldier Field
All skills camps and fall team camp will be held at DSU's home baseball faciltiy Soldier Field. Soldier Field has dimensions of 380ft center field and 320 left and right field lines as well as five practice mounds and two 70ft long batting cages.
