The former Hornet standout infielder, August begins his 6th season with Hornets. He primarily works with the hitters, infielders, and baserunners. He also serves as 3rd Base coach. The 2008 Hornets offense was ranked in the top 3 in every offensive catagory. August has coached six players, who have gone on and played professional baseball during his tenure.

This past summer, he was Head Coach of the Allegany County Nitros in the New York Collegiate Baseball League, where he led his team a playoff appearance.

As a player at DSU he led his team to school record, 40 wins in 2002. A career .330 hitter, was first in the NCAA in runs scored in 2001. Prior to DSU, he played two seasons at Cecil Community College. He earned his A.A. from Cecil and B.S. in Sports Management from Delaware State.

He and his wife, Sandy, reside in Newark, Delaware and are expecting their first child in April.
