DOVER - On Sunday, July 12, redshirt sophomore right-handed pitcher Michael Lane was selected by the Detroit Tigers with the 486th overall pick in the 16th round of the 2026 MLB Draft.
Lane, a starting pitcher for the Hornets in the 2026 spring season, had a season-high of eleven strikeouts. While pitching an average of 7.1 innings. Lane had a total of 41 strikeouts in the season.
