GAME 1 | Delaware State 13, Lincoln (PA) 5
DOVER, Delaware --Michael Lane had everything working on Saturday, fanning 11 Lincoln (PA) hitters over six innings of work to help lead the Delaware State Hornets over the Lions 13-5.
In addition to his 11 strikeouts, Lane (1-1) went six innings, giving up five runs, three earned, on five hits and walking five for Delaware State (0-2). Jeremy Vest also made an impact on the mound for the Hornets, throwing one shutout inning while allowing no hits.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hornets got on the board immediately, starting their scoring with one run in the top of the first inning. Delaware State's offense started clicking and put up five runs, including a one-run single off the bat of Caleb King.
The Lions failed to push any runs across before the Hornets offense got back to their scoring ways the next inning. Delaware State pushed two runs across on a two-run double off the bat of Jaryn Sample that brought home Hassan Turner and Jabril Bullock, which brought the score to 7-0 in favor of the Hornets.
Delaware State held Lincoln (PA) without a run before building their lead to 8-0 the following inning.
The Lions gained ground, closing the gap to 8-1 until Delaware State added some insurance in the fifth. bringing the Delaware State advantage to 11-1.
The Hornets kept Lincoln (PA) without a run before building on their lead to 13-1 the following inning. Delaware State scored twice on Alec Rodriguez's two-run homer. Lincoln (PA) put four runs on the scoreboard before the game was over, but the Hornets still coasted to the 13-5 win.

GAME 2 | Lincoln (PA) 13, Delaware State 4
1570 BALTIMORE PIKE, --Nathan Vidmar dominated on Saturday, fanning nine Lincoln (PA) hitters over 4.1 innings of work, but it was not enough as the Delaware State Hornets lost to the Lions 13-4.
In addition to his nine strikeouts, Vidmar (0-1) threw 4.1 innings, giving up nine runs, eight earned, on five hits and walking four for Delaware State (1-3).
At the plate, the Hornets were paced by Brady Daniels, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a double, two walks and two RBI. Brandon Boyd put together a noteworthy performance at the dish as well, going 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Jabril Bullock also chipped in for Delaware State, putting together one hit in three trips to the plate while adding two walks.

The Lions then tied the ballgame at three before the Hornets came back to reclaim their advantage in the second inning. Bullock came across to score the lone run of the inning for Delaware State, which brought the score to 4-3 in favor of the Hornets. The Hornets were unable to hold the lead, as Lincoln (PA) scored 10 times over the remaining five innings to grab the 13-4 win.
