Yeda Couto-Erickson (so.; Boca Raton, Fla.) has done it again. Couto-Erickson has been tabbed as the ASUN Defensive Player-of-the-Week for the second week in a row. She earned the award for recording 16 saves to help lead the Hornets to their stunning 13-12 four-overtime victory against Akron on Feb. 19. She saved the game for Delaware State with two stops in the closing seconds of regulation and one in each of the first three overtime periods.
The Hornets, 2-0 for the first time in team history, are back in action on Wed. (Feb. 22) at home against Presbyterian. Game time is set for 12:00 p.m. at Drass Field on the Delaware State Downtown Campus.
