UC Davis took an early lead, scoring the first seven goals of the match. Delaware State got on the board late in the first quarter when Kehnai Parks scored an unassisted goal at the 4:45 mark.
The Hornets added two more scores in the second quarter. Genesys Spann found the net unassisted, followed shortly by a goal from Kristin Sims, who capitalized on an assist from Spann during a power-play opportunity. Despite the offensive push, UC Davis led 11-3 at halftime.
In the third quarter, the Aggies extended their lead with six goals. Delaware State answered late in the period when Ceanna McGirt scored off another assist from Spann.
