NORFOLK, Va. --- Delaware State University sophomore infielder
Trey Paige has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Co-Player of the Week as announced by the conference.

In the opening four-game series at Charleston Southern, Paige recorded six hits in 14 at bats for an average of .429 to start the year. Of his six hits, four of which were extra-base hits, of those four extra-base hits, one went for his first homerun of the season. Paige drove in five runs, drew three walks and notched two games without striking out.

While managing the hot corner in all four games, Paige tallied eight assists, three put outs and only one error for a .917 fielding percentage for the weekend.

Delaware State opens the home portion of the 2022 season with a three-game series with the Lehigh Moutainhawks. First pitch from Bob Reed Field located on DSU Downtown's campus is scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m.
