Norfolk, Va. (May 20, 2021) --- Dover, Del. (May 14, 2021) --- Delaware State is well represented on the 2020-21 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Commissioner's All-Academic Baseball Team.
A total of 16 Hornets have been recognized by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference for their work in the classroom this year.
DSU's  Connor Baksh, Cole Bates, Krew Bouldin, Mason Brewer, Cole Garey, Brandon Gibbs, Jordan Haddaway, Tripp Kimmel, Dylan Layton, Corey Loper, Jr., Jose Mencia, Trey Paige, Miguel Rivera, Robert Trujillo, John Weglarz and Michael Worthington are among 96 student-athletes from the conference's baseball-playing institutions that competed this season who have cited for their work in the classroom this past academic year.
MEAC sophomore, junior and senior student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average (GPA), as well as transfer student-athletes who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year, are eligible for All-Academic accolades.
"I want to congratulate our softball student-athletes, who maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average," MEAC Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas said. "The ultimate goal is to develop and graduate our student-athletes to be productive citizens in our society."
