Dover, Del. (Feb. 22, 2013) --- The Delaware State University women's lacrosse team will play its first ever home game this weekend. The Hornets will take on the Detroit Titans this Sunday at Alumni Stadium. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
The Hornets fell to Wagner 21-2 in their first contest last Saturday. DSU trailed 3-1 after Emily Peets scored the first goal in team history with 17:46 left in the opening period. Miranda Hawkins scored the other DSU goal in the second period.
Detroit suffered a 13-7 loss to Robert Morris in its 2013 debut last Saturday. The Titans will play at Sienna (N.Y.) today.
The Detroit contest is the first of back-to-back home games for the Hornets. DSU will host Liberty next Friday (Mar. 1) at 4:00 p.m.
