DOVER, DE --The Delaware State Hornets struggled on Tuesday, falling to the Pennsylvania Quakers 13-1 despite the efforts of senior Jancarlos Colon, who went 0-for-3 with an RBI.
Senior Peter Carreca started and took the loss on the mound for Delaware State (14-22). Senior Kobe Head was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going two shutout innings without allowing a hit.
Trailing 10-0, the Hornets first put runs on the board in the eighth inning. Delaware State plated a run on a based-loaded walk by Colon. The Hornets were unable to get any closer, as Pennsylvania added three runs to their tally on the way to a 13-1 final. Pennsylvania was led offensively by senior J. Neskie, who went 2-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI. Junior W. Tobin led the Quakers pitching staff, throwing three scoreless innings.
