GAME 2 | Wagner 12, Delaware State 1
DOVER, DE --The Delaware State Hornets had a tough showing on Friday, falling to the Wagner Seahawks 12-1 despite the efforts of senior Jancarlos Colon, who went 0-for-0.
Sophomore Nathan Vidmar (0-0) came out of the bullpen for Delaware State (1-9, ) and took the loss.
Colon led the way offensively for the Hornets, going 0-for-0 in the ballgame with three walks. Sophomore Evan Bouldin provided a noteworthy performance at the dish as well, going 2-for-4. Senior Krew Bouldin also helped out, going 1-for-3 for Delaware State with an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hornets were trailing 5-0 in the fourth inning when they first put runs on the board. Senior Chris Amparo came across to score the lone run of the inning for Delaware State and get them on the board. The Hornets were unable to get any closer, as Wagner added seven runs to their tally on the way to a 12-1 final. Wagner was led offensively by senior L Torres, who went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Junior C Hayden led the Seahawks pitching staff, throwing seven innings of one-run ball.
