DOVER -- Delaware State lacrosse (1-5) fell to Radford (1-5), 13-7 Wednesday afternoon. The Hornets will return to action on Saturday, Mar. 16 against FDU (Fairleigh Dickinson University) in Bergen County, New Jersey at 1 p.m.
FIRST QUARTER:
The Highlanders took a quick 2-0 lead over the Hornets. Ebony Reddick got it started for the Hornets at the nine-minute mark. Radford added two more goals in the first.
SECOND QUARTER:
The Hornets got another late start in the second quarter, with the Highlanders adding three goals within the first three minutes. Rossella Nardi, London Downing, and Zahra Gotz each got a goal in the second, adding three on the board for the Hornets.
THIRD QUARTER:
Nardi scored first, recording her second goal of the afternoon, putting the Hornets within 4. The Hornet's defense held the Highlanders to one goal in the third.
FOURTH QUARTER:
Kimaari Mondy held the Highlanders to three goals by collecting three of her four saves in the final quarter.
