FLORHAM PARK, New Jersey -- Delaware State lacrosse (1-6) fell to FDU (1-8), 14-10 Saturday afternoon. The Hornets will return to Drass Field on Saturday, Mar. 23 against LIU (Long Island University) at 1 p.m.
FIRST QUARTER:
The Knights struck first with a goal from Karly Dillabough. Mica Lambert quickly answered to tie things up. Despite FDU adding four more goals in the first, the Hornets added two more of their own and were only down by two.
SECOND QUARTER:
London Downing started things off in the second, putting the Hornets within one. The Knights went on a 5-0 run to extend their lead by 6. Three in a row from the Hornets would close the gap.
THIRD QUARTER:
The Hornets were scoreless in the third versus the two goals from the Knights.
FOURTH QUARTER:
The Hornets outscored FDU 3-1 in the final quarter.
