DOVER -- Delaware State lacrosse (2-7) rolled past Howard (0-11) in a midweek conference matchup, 13-4 Wednesday evening. The Hornets will hit the road this weekend, returning to action on Saturday, Mar. 30 against Sacred Heart at noon.
FIRST QUARTER:
The Hornets and Bison remained scoreless for the majority of the first quarter. Zahra Gotz got the first goal of the evening, shooting one in at the three-minute mark.
The Bison quickly answered with one of their own at the two-minute mark.
SECOND QUARTER:
The Hornets connected with the goal seven times in the third. The Hornets defense held the Bison to one goal.
THIRD QUARTER:
Ebony Reddick and Rossella Nardi scored back-to-back goals to start the third quarter. Marley Rhymes got one in for the Bison late in the third.
FOURTH QUARTER:
The Hornets won every draw control in the fourth and outshot the Bison 7-4.
