FAIRFIELD, Conn -- Delaware State lacrosse (2-8) fell to Sacred Heart (5-5) in continued NEC conference play Saturday afternoon, 18-6. The Hornets will return to action next Saturday, April. 6 for another road game against LeMoyne College at 11 a.m.
FIRST QUARTER:
The Pioneers added six in a row before Zahra Gotz scored one for the Hornets.
SECOND QUARTER:
The Hornets and the Pioneers remained scoreless in the beginning of the second. Saniya Craft and Ebony Reddick connected with the goal back-to-back late in the second.
THIRD QUARTER:
A goal from London Downing and two from Zahra Gotz gave the Hornets their last three goals of the game.
FOURTH QUARTER:
The Pioneers would add four to close out the game.
