BETHLEHEM, Pa. --Senior Krew Bouldin went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI for the Delaware State Hornets in a 14-3 loss to the Lehigh Mountain Hawks on Tuesday.
Sophomore Hunter Thompson (1-1) got the ball to start for Delaware State (4-16) and took the loss.
At the plate, the Hornets were paced by Krew Bouldin, who went 2-for-3 on the day with a double and two RBI. Senior Chris Amparo put together a noteworthy performance at the dish as well, going 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
The Hornets were trailing 14-0 in the sixth inning when they first put runs on the board. Delaware State scored three runs in the frame, highlighted by a two-RBI double from Bouldin. The Hornets were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame. Lehigh was led offensively by junior Rafe Perich, who went 4-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Sophomore David Andolina led the Mountain Hawks pitching staff, throwing three scoreless innings.
