Smyrna, Del. (Oct. 28, 2018) --- Delaware State was eighth in the 2018 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Championship at DSU's Research and Outreach Center course on Saturday. Florida A&M captured its MEAC-record seventh straight team championship with 43 points.
Sophomore Katarzyna Rosikon was the Hornets' top performer, finishing 11th among 75 runners with a time of 19-minutes-48.04 seconds in the 5K race to earn All-MEAC honors.
Lananda Correia was Delaware State's next highest finisher, placing 41st with a time of 22:36.20.
Norfolk State was runner-up in the 2018 MEAC Women's Cross Country Championship with 44 points.
North Carolina A&T (117 points), Maryland-Eastern Shore (123) and Howard (130) rounded out the top five.
