Newark, DE — On Friday, September 19, 2025, the Delaware State Hornets women's cross country program competed in the University of Delaware Invitational, which featured 83 highly skilled runners.

The invitational was highlighted by Anezka Seifertova's top-15 performance, helping the Hornets secure a top-five overall team finish.

Seifertova crossed the finish line with a time of 20:34. Mileah Cotton followed with a 16th-place finish at 21:00.8. Illianna Surowiec (21:42.1), Leilani Gibson (22:04.4), Sabreeya Travis (23:22.8), and Merasia Johnson (26:40.2) rounded out the competition for the Hornets.
