Hornets Travel to Lafayette College Tournament  
After an 2-2 split last weekend at the Tiny Laster Memorial Tournament at Hampton University, The Hornets travel to Easton, Pa. for the Lafayette College Tournament.  DSU is 1-4 all-time vs. Farleigh Dickinson, 0-5 against Lafayette, and 1-3 against St. Peters.  The Hornets have already faced Fairleigh Dickinson this season.  FDU won 3-0. 
Head Coach Renee Arnold  
DSU Head Coach Renee Arnold (50-84) is entering her fifth season with the Hornets.  Last season, Arnold led the team to a 11-20 overall record and a 7-3 MEAC record. She also led DSU to a MEAC Tournament win over North Carolina A&T before falling to Maryland-Eastern Shore (2-3) in the semifinals. Arnold's 2007 overall record included contests against #2 Stanford and #3 Penn State, along with major conference foes Boston College and Michigan State.    
Arnold returns to her alma mater for this tournament.  She is 0-1 all-time against G.W.
The 2008 Hornets   
Sophomore Erica Tajchman leads the Hornets in kills (85) and kills/game (3.15).  She also leads the team in digs (71) and digs/game (2.63)     
Junior Cassandra Joyner leads the team in total blocks (24) and blocks/game (0.89).  She also ranks second on team in kills (71), and kills/game (2.63).    
Sophomore Sarah Wheatcroft leads the team in assists (118), assists/game (4.37), and service aces (9).      
As a team, the Hornets rank first in the MEAC in opponents attack percentage (.156), total blocks (50.0), and digs (390).
