DOVER, D.E. - Five home games plus another Home game at Lincoln Financial Field to highlight head coach DeSean Jackson's second season after a historic first season at Delaware State University.
The 12-game slate, split evenly with six home and six away contests, includes six Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference matchups.
The Hornets kick off the season under the Alumni Stadium lights on Thursday, August 27, hosting the Seawolves of Stony Brook.
Head coach DeSean Jackson and his Delaware State University squad will trade off home and away each weekend in September, starting off on the road at William & Mary (Sept. 5) and then back at home for the unofficail rivary versus Bowie State (Sept. 12).
The Hornets will then embark on a trip down to Tampa to face the University of South Florida (Sept. 19).
Delaware State University will return for a Homecoming matchup versus Franklin Pierce, the first meeting for both programs, on October 10.
Coach Jackson and staff will lead the Hornets into MEAC play when they open up at home versus NC Central on October 24, followed by a road game on Halloween night versus Michael Vick and the Spartans of Norfolk State (Oct. 31).
A final home game versus Morgan State (Nov. 7) will be followed by a two-game road stretch versus Howard (Nov. 14) and South Carolina State (Nov. 21) to conclude the regular season.
Delaware State University football fans should be on the lookout for a special announcement regarding season tickets.
