NORFOLK, Va., April 14, 2025 – Norfolk State junior Emory Shorts has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Softball Player of the Week. Howard rookie Lauryn Jones was named Rookie of the Week while Delaware State sophomore Kristin White garnered Pitcher of the Week honors respectively.  

White (So., P, Crofton, Md.) went 1-1 in the circle opening the series against South Carolina State with a 12-strikeout complete game, surrendering no runs against 24 batters faced. She pitched 2.1 innings in game two, striking out two batters while surrendering two runs on three this.
