NORFOLK, VA --Brylin McCray had an RBI, but the Delaware State Hornets still came up short on Saturday and suffered defeat at the hands of the South Carolina State Bulldogs by a final of 3-1.
Kaylanie Rodriguez (6-4) started and took the loss in the circle for Delaware State (28-18). Kristin White was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going one shutout inning without allowing a hit, walking none, and striking out one.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 3-0, the Hornets first put runs on the board in the fourth inning. Delaware State plated a run on a bases-loaded walk by McCray. The Hornets were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
