DOVER - The Collegiate Triathlon Coaches' Association announced the governing board for the 2024-2026 term on Monday, June 10. Head Triathlon coach Hannah Loftus received 15 out of 22 votes from the Board of Directors of the College Triathlon Coaches Association in the role of Secretary.
"I am honored to have even been nominated to sit on the Board of Directors for the College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA), and I am thrilled to have been elected to serve in the role of Secretary," said head coach Loftus.
This marks the first time an HBCU will be represented on the Board of Directors of the College Triathlon Coaches Association.
"I will take office in July as one of only eight voting members in the CTCA, and my election marks the first time an HBCU has ever held a seat on the Board."
The 2023 CTCA Conference was held late earlier this year and included multiple regional, divisional, and committee breakouts, dedicated group sessions, and presentations from CTCA board.
"It is my privilege to step into this role, and I take the responsibility of representing Delaware State University and NCAA Triathlon very seriously."
"My mission is to advance the best interests of the sport of Triathlon and to promote and uphold the highest standards for ethics, sportsmanship, and safety."
