DOVER -- Delaware State lacrosse (2-10, 2-5) fell to Saint Francis University (7-5, 6-1) in continued NEC conference play Wednesday afternoon, 14-6. The Hornets will return to action on Saturday, April. 13 when they travel to play Stonehill at 12:00 p.m.
FIRST QUARTER:
Zahra Gotz put the Hornets on the board first with a goal at the 10-minute mark. The Pioneers then added six in a row.
SECOND QUARTER:
The Pioneers were hot to start off the second quarter, adding three more to the board. London Downing connected with the goal late in the quarter, to give the Hornets their second goal.
THIRD QUARTER:
The Hornets outscored the Pioneers in the third, 2-1. Both goals were from Gotz and one was assisted by Nyla Price.
FOURTH QUARTER:
The Hornets never stopped fighting scoring two in the fourth from Saniya Craft and Ebony Reddick.
