Norfolk, VA - On October 8, 2024, The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference hosted their 2024 MEAC Men's and Women's Basketball Media Day and announced the predicted team finish and awards presented by Coca-Cola. 

The MEAC announced Delaware State guard Martaz Robinson as the Preseason All-Conference First Team for the 2024-25 season. The Hornets were selected to finish fifth in the MEAC Conference, ranked among tough competitive rivals. 

Robinson, first-team All-MEAC honoree, averaged 15.9 pts and 6.5 rebounds per game leading the Hornets to the finals in the 2024 MEAC Tournament. The two-time Player of the Week and 1000th points season scorer, Robinson has breached the 20-point mark numerous times throughout the season with a high 22 points, shooting 44% (4-9) field goal percentage in the opening round of the MEAC Tournament against South Carolina State. 

The Hornets will open up their season on November 4 in Blacksburg, Virginia against Virginia Tech. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

Check out the Hornets before then, as they host Delaware Valley University on Oct. 30 in an exhibition game. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. 

The 2025 MEAC Basketball Tournament will be held on March 12-15 at the Norfolk Scope Arena in Norfolk, Va.
