Savannah Brooks has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Week for the second-straight week as announced by the league earlier today.

In DSU's week against North Carolina Central and South Carolina State, Brooks totaled 22 points scoring at a rate of 11.0 points per game. She also recorded a total of 12 rebounds, six assists, four steals and two blocks across last week's slate of MEAC matchups.
Her week was highlighted by her performance in the Hornets' 50-49 win over the Bulldogs where she scored 13 points behind two triples and five-of-six shooting from the free throw line. Brooks came down with six rebounds, handed out three assists and two blocks in the win

This is the fourth time this season that Brooks has been named the MEAC Rookie of the Week this season. Delaware State will hit the road on Saturday for a conference contest at Morgan State University. Tipoff from the Hill Field House is currently scheduled for 2 p.m.
