NORFOLK, Va. --- Delaware State women's basketball freshman guard / forward Naomi Zulueta was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league earlier today.
 
Zulueta earned the first MEAC weekly honors of her career after her performance in Sunday's game against Hofstra. She recorded game-highs in both rebounds (12) and steals (5). On the offensive side, Zulueta finished one point shy of a double-double having scored nine points on 3-of-6 shooting from the field and tied for a team-high after making three free throws.
 
Delaware State returns to action tomorrow for a midweek matinee with Drexel University. Tipoff from the Daskalakis Athletic Center is currently scheduled for 12 p.m.
