Hartford, Conn. (Nov. 20, 2022) --- The University of Connecticut Huskies used a dominant first half performance to key its 95-60 men's basketball win over Delaware State on Sunday.
The Huskies, ranked 25
th in the most recent  Associated Press poll, have won all five of their games this season, while the Hornets fell to 1-4.
The loss overshadowed a career effort by Delaware State guard
Jevin Muniz (fr.; , Bethlehem, Pa.) Â who topped the Hornets with 21 points on six-for-13 shooting from the field (two three-pointers) and 7-of-8 from the free throw line.

Kyle Johnson (gr.; San Diego) also turned in a fine performance for the Hornets, tallying 15 points and topping the team with nine rebounds.
Adama Sanogo led five double-figure scorers for Connecticut with a game-high 26 points. Sanogo hit 10 of his 13 shots from the floor (1-1 3pt FG) and 5-of-6 free throws.
Donovan Clingan came off the bench to finish second on the Huskies with 16 points (7-9 FG).
The score was tied at 5-5 before UConn took control, scoring 37 of the next 45 points to take control of the game.
Sanago capped off the run with a basket to give the Huskies a 42-13 lead with 6:47 left in the first half.
Connecticut led 57-24 at the break.
The Huskies outscored the Hornets by just two points (38-36) in the second half.
After hitting just eight of their 27 shots from the field in the first half (29.6%), the Hornets were 12 for 25 from the floor in the final 20 minutes (48%).
