Dover, Del. (July 6, 2020) --- Delaware State's Zach Kent was the subject of a July 5 Delawarestatenews.net (Newszap.com) feature. A transfer from the University of Tennessee, the Magnolia (Del.) resident enrolled at Delaware State during the spring 2020 semester.
Kent (6-10) scored three points in two games at Tennessee during the 2019-20 season before leaving the school. He tallied four points and two rebounds in his debut for the Vols vs. Presbyterian on Nov. 10, 2017.
He attended St. Andrew's School in Middletown (Del.) before attending Blair Academy in Blairstown, N.J., as a high school senior.
As a junior at St. Andrew's in 2015-16, Kent earned Delaware All-Independent School and All-State Third Team honors after averaging 17 points and nine rebounds per game, while shooting 58 percent from the field, 40 percent on three-point shots and 80 percent at the free throw line.
Kent will be a sophomore for the Hornets during the 2020-21 season.
