THE GAMEÂ
Delaware State (2-14; 1-1 MEAC) is hoping to ride the momentum of a dramatic victory in its last outing. The Hornets snapped a seven-game losing streak and notched its first win against a Division I opponent this season with a last second 68-66 victory over defending MEAC champ North Carolina Central on Saturday.
John Crosby nailed a 15-foot jumper as time expired to give DSU the come-from-behind victory. The Hornets trailed by 15 points at the half and were behind by 13 with 11 minutes left to play. Crosby led four Delaware State double-figure scorers with 18 points in the NC Central contest. He is tops in the MEAC and ninth among all NCAA Div. I players in scoring at 21.8 points per game.
L.J. Stansbury (fr.) was second on the Hornets with 15 points vs. NCCU.
Ameer Bennett (jr.) had 11 points and a team-high six rebounds in the North Carolina Central contest. Bennett is second on the Hornets in scoring at 11.6 points per game and is the team rebounding leader at 6.9 per contest.

North Carolina A&T (6-11; 2-0 MEAC) has won its last three games, including a 91-53 victory at Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday. NCAT's Ronald Jackson led all players with 22 points on 8-or-11 shooting from the field in the contest. He also pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds, including four offensive boards. Andre Jackson added 16 points for the Aggies vs. Maryland-Eastern Shore. His performance was highlighted by four three-point field goals. Ronald Jackson is the team leader and ranks eighth in the MEAC in scoring at 13.6 points per game. He's also the MEAC's third-best rebounder at 9.1 per game.    Â

HORNETS vs. Aggies Series History (NCAT leads 63-35)Â Â Â
This is the first of two scheduled 2019-20 meetings between the teams. North Carolina A&T has won the last five contests to open up a 63-35 series lead. The Aggies swept two meetings against the Hornets last season, winning 93-70 at Delaware State and 82-52 on their home court in Greensboro, N.C. DSU is seeking its first victory against the Aggies since an 82-65 triumph on Feb. 1, 2017 in Memorial Hall. The Hornets and Aggies are also scheduled to meet again on Jan. 27 at the Corbett Center in Greensboro, N.C.        Â
