Dover, Del. (Dec. 12, 2019) --- Delaware State senior guard John Crosby has been honored by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference for his performance vs. Loyola (Md.) last week.
Crosby was selected as the MEAC Men's Basketball Player-of-the-Week after tallying 31 points in the Hornets' 84-76 loss to the Greyhounds on Dec. 4. The Baltimore, Md., native was 11-for-19 from the field, including one three-pointer on two attempts, and eight-of-10 at the free throw line.
For the season, Crosby is tops in the MEAC in scoring at 20.1 points per game.  Charles Williams of Howard is second in the league at 18.2 ppg.
Crosby has topped the 20-point mark in five of the Hornets' 10 games, including two 30-point performances. He has also topped the team in scoring in seven contests.
The Delaware State men's basketball team returns to action on Monday (Dec. 16) against Delaware in the Route 1 Rivalry at 76ers Fieldhouse in Wilmington. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
