THE GAME 
Delaware State begins a three-game road swing with a visit to unbeaten Virginia Tech. The Hornets (0-4) are trying to bounce back from a 92-84 home loss to LIU Brooklyn on Monday. The point total marked a season-high for DSU this season. John Crosby (sr.) led the Hornets with a career-high 32 points, hitting 10-of-16 shots from the field and 10-of-13 at the free throw line, while L.J. Stansbury (so.) also recorded personal bests with 18 points (8-15 FGs) and eight rebounds in the contest. Ameer Bennett (jr.) also reached double-figures in the game with 14 points. Bennett also pulled down a team-high nine rebounds in the game. Crosby's LIU performance raised his team-best scoring average to 20.0 points per game. Stansbury and Bennett are tied for second on the team in scoring at 12.3 points per game. Bennett's also the Hornets' top rebounder at 7.3 per game, while Pinky Wiley (jr.) has a team high 15 assists.  

 

Virginia Tech (4-0) is coming off a 79-53 victory over Lehigh last Saturday (Nov. 16). Landers Nolley II led the Hokies with a game-high 27 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field, including seven-of-12 on three-point shots. P.J. Home added 14 points (6-8 FG), while Hunter Cattoor came off the bench to contribute 11 points (three 3 pt. FG). Nolley is Virginia Tech's scoring leader at 22.8 points per game. He also has a team-high 15 three-point field goals. Nahiem Alleyne is second on the Hokies with a 10.8 point per game average. Tyrece Radford is Va. Tech's top rebounder at 6.8 per game.      

 

HORNETS vs. Hokies / ACC  
This will be the second meeting between the Hornets and Hokies. Virginia Tech won the first contest 68-53 on Dec. 31, 1994 in Blacksburg, Va. Delaware State is 1-25 all-time vs. current members of the Atlantic Coast Conference, with the lone victory over an ACC  team was against Wake Forest (72-65) on Nov. 28, 2014.
