The Game
Delaware State visits Ivy League country to take on the Cornell Big Red. The Lady Hornets last played on Dec. 9 at Xavier (OH), dropping the contest 80-59. Keke Barber (sr.) led three Delaware State players in double-figures with 15 points, highlighted by three-of-five shooting on three-point attempts and tying her season-high in scoring. Barber has scored combined  for 30 points in the last two games to raise her season average 9.7 points-per-game, third-best on the team. NaJai Pollard (sr.) added 13 points in the Xavier contest to surpass the 1,500-point mark for her career (1,500). Pollard, the reigning MEAC Player-of-the-Week, is tops in the league and 11th among all NCAA Div. I players in scoring at 22.3 points per game. She also leads the MEAC in blocks and is second in rebounding entering this weekend's competition. She also enters the Cornell contest just 12 points away from
climbing to fifth on the Lady Hornets' all-time scoring list and she's two rebounds shy of moving into fourth place in team history. Lanayjha Ashe (jr.) added 10 points and tied her career-high with seven assists in the last outing at Xavier. Ashe is second on the Lady
Hornets and ninth in the MEAC in scoring at 13.1 points per game. She's also the team's top free throw shooter (.708) and is second with five double-figure scoring games.

Cornell is looking to snap a four-game losing streak. The Big Red has been idle since a 63-61 loss to Stony Brook on Dec. 1. Junior forward Laura Bagwell-Katalinich leads the team in scoring at 12.4 points per game and is also the top rebounder at 8.3 per contest.
