DSU HEAD FOOTBALL COACH KENNY CARTER ANNOUNCES HORNETS? 2015 ASSISTANTS

Dover, Del. (Mar. 23, 2015) --- Delaware State first-year head football coach Kenny Carter has announced that seven new assistants and one holdover from last season will make up his 2015 staff.

Carter says seven of his eight assistants have previously served as head coach or coordinator at the collegiate or professional level. 

Carter, who was introduced as head coach of the Hornets on Jan. 21, has named former Lock Haven University and NFL Europe Head Coach John Allen as his offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach; while Jamie Bryant, a former defensive coordinator at Youngstown State and Vanderbilt, will hold the same position with the Hornets.

Andrew Faison, the lone holdover from the 2014 Hornet staff, has been appointed as associate head coach/linebacker coach for Carter this season..

Former National Football League star and University of Alabama All-American E.J. Junior is DSU's new Defensive Line Coach and Director of Player Development.

Carter has named Chris Sprague as the Hornets' new offensive line coach. Sprague most recently held the same position, along with serving as assistant head coach, at Lock Haven University.  

Former Delaware State University standout defensive back Ty Greenwood returns to his alma mater as the Hornets' cornerbacks coach and special teams coordinator.

Former Kentucky Wesleyan University offensive coordinator Dante Pimpleton is Carter's running backs/tight end coach and passing game coordinator, while former Youngstown State star Jelani Berassa is the new wide receivers coach.
