THE GAME
Delaware State takes on Florida A&M in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference contest. The Hornets have dropped their last eight games to fall to 4-11 overall and 1-3 in the MEAC. DSU is coming off a 60-59 loss to Bethune-Cookman on Saturday. The Wildcats scored the winning basket with 18.5 seconds left to play. Marques Oliver was high scorer for the Hornets with a season-high 19  points. Tahj Tate added 13 points for DSU. Florida A&M brings a two-game win streak into the contest. The Rattlers posted a 68-63 win over UMES last Saturday in its most recent outing. Amin Stevens led the way with 25 points (11-17 FGs) and 16 rebounds for Florida A&M.        

DSU VS. FLORIDA A&M SERIES HISTORY (FAMU leads 35-34)  
Delaware State has won three of the last four meetings, although Florida A&M holds a 35-34 lead in the series. The teams split two contests last season, with each winning on its home court. Delaware State won last year's first meeting 62-57 in Dover, Del. Casey Walker was high scorer for the Hornets with 24 points, highlighted by five three-point field goals. Florida A&M won last year's second contest 69-63 in Tallahassee, Fla. Amin Stevens was the top scorer for the Rattlers with 16 points. Delaware State's Jay Threatt led all players with 22 points in the contest. Delaware State has won the last three games between the teams in Memorial Hall. Florida A&M last won in Memorial Hall on Feb. 25, 2008 (70-58). This is the only scheduled meeting between the teams this season.
