Dover, DE --- The injury-plagued Delaware State softball team fell to 0-4 in the Capital Softball Classic after losses to Drexel and Central Connecticut on Saturday. The Hornets cut a six run deficit to one before falling to Drexel 7-5 in their opener on Saturday. In the second game, DSU fell to Central Connecticut 11-0. In the Drexel contest, the Hornets trailed 6-0 before scoring three runs in the fourth and two in the fifth to pull to within 6-5. Jessica Chrabaszcz and JoJo Shields had two-run singles, while Aisha Holloman also singled in a run. Delaware State pitcher Brittney Ruark left the game in the second inning after being struck by a line drive. She is the second DSU pitcher to suffer an injury this season. Megan Lambertz has been out the last two weeks due to an injury to her right (pitching) hand. In the Central Connecticut contest, Katherine Knowles was 3-for-3 with six RBI to lead the Blue Devils.
