NORFOLK, Va. --K. White had everything working on Wednesday, punching out 10 South Carolina State hitters over seven innings of work to help lead the Delaware State Hornets over the Bulldogs 4-1.
In addition to her 10 strikeouts, White (11-6) threw seven innings, giving up one run on two hits and walking three for Delaware State (26-21).
At the plate, the Hornets were led by M. King, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a home run and two RBI's. D. Mitchell put together a standout day at the plate as well, going 2-for-3. C. Martin also contributed for Delaware State, putting together one hit in one trip to the plate while adding an RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hornets were trailing 1-0 in the fifth inning when they first put runs on the board. Delaware State plated two runs when King left the yard with B. Sewell aboard.
The Bulldogs failed to push any runs across before the Hornets offense got back to their scoring ways the next inning. Delaware State brought home a pair, with one run driven in by Martin's single, which brought the Hornets lead to 4-1. The score remained 4-1 for the rest of the game, as Delaware State held on for the win.
