The score remained 1-1 until the top of the sixth, when Delaware put four runs on the board to take the lead for good. Kim Ovittore singled in the go-ahead run, while Kenny added a two-run single in the inning.

Delaware blew the game open with eight runs in the seventh. The big blow in the inning was a two-out pinch hit grand slam by Mary Ann Magee.
