PRINCETON, NJ – The Delaware State men's and women's track & field teams continued competition at the Princeton Larry Ellis Invite, delivering strong performances highlighted by a standout effort from Miriam Okwudibonye.
Okwudibonye led the Hornets with a first-place finish in the women's 400-meter hurdles elite section, posting a time of 58.60. Her mark ranks No. 2 all-time in Delaware State history and stands as the second-fastest time of her career.
In the women's 400-meter dash elite section, Kahlia Smith recorded a time of 56.63, adding another solid performance for the Hornets on the track.
Rebecca Jansen competed in the 5000 meters, finishing in 18:03.54, while Valerie Ashamu represented Delaware State in the high jump with a mark of 1.68 meters.
The Hornets will look to carry this momentum forward as they continue their outdoor season.
