Box Score COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Delaware State women's tennis came up just short on Friday in a 4-3 defeat to the North Carolina Central University Eagles. This was the first match of the MEAC Round-Up.

The Eagles took the doubles point. Kit Yi Kaye Au-Yeung and Lucia Casas Blas were victorious, however, with a 6-2 decision. The other Hornets pairings were Camilla Mitolo and Eva Golembiovski, and Victoria Linkovski and Brooklyn Bowen.

In singles, the two sides went down the middle 3-3. Au-Yeung won 7⁷-6⁵, 6-2. Casas Blas earned a 6-2, 6-4 win. Mitolo went 6-2, 6-1 against her opponent.

Overall, it was a 4-3 win for North Carolina Central.

The Hornets are back in action tomorrow, Saturday, March 29 at 9 a.m. for the second MEAC Round-Up match. They will face the Norfolk State University Spartans.
