MARTIN, Tenn. - Three Delaware State equestrian student-athletes earned a spot for All-Conference awards, as announced by the NCEA on Thursday evening.
Olivia Brown,
Ashley Grasso, and
Ryan Englebert were the Hornets' 2024-25 All-Conference recipients.
Brown, a senior from Berlin, Md., was named the Fences Rider of the Year. She also earned All-Conference Fences. Brown dominated in the fall season by racking up six MOPs in five meets. Her highest score was 89 in Fences versus Tennessee Martin.
In five spring meets thus far, Brown has averaged a 79.4 in Fences and a 65 in Flat.
Grasso, a senior from Higganum, Conn., was placed on the All-Conference Horsemanship list. In the fall season, Grasso grabbed two MOPs, the highest score being a 76 in Horsemanship versus Minnesota Crookston.
Grasso has averaged a 72.5 in Horsemanship in the spring.
Englebert, a freshman from Allentown, Pa., was given the Sportsmanship Award. She participated in one demo ride in the fall.
Grasso and Englebert compete in Western. Brown competes in Jumping Seat.
The Hornets are back in Martin, Tenn. tomorrow, Friday, March 28. As the third seed in the ECAC Championship, they will face the second-seeded, University of California-Davis Aggies. Meet time is 11 a.m. ET / 10 a.m. CT.
