Box Score PHILADELPHIA - Delaware State women's tennis nearly came out victorious in their spring opener against the Drexel University Dragons, but they fell 4-3 on Thursday.
 

The Hornets picked up the doubles point. Camilla Mitolo and Brooklyn Bowen picked up a 6-0 victory. Kit Yi Kaye Au-Yeung and Lucia Casas Blas won 6-3 over their opponents.
 

In singles, Mitolo and Bowen won their respective matches. Both won in straight sets. Mitolo logged 6-1, 6-4. Bowen took two 6-0 decisions. However, the singles matches favored Drexel 4-2.
 

For the day, the Dragons won 4-3.

The Hornets are back in action next Thursday, Feb. 13 at 11 a.m. They will be in Washington, D.C. to face the George Washington University Revolutionaries.
