Staten Island, NY-- The Hornets women's Track & Field program continued their season at the FastTrack National Invitational on Friday, February, 7th.
The FastTrack National Invitational was highlighted by stellar performances from
Sierra Passee, Kahlia Smith,
Merasia Johnson,
Dominique Clement and Miriam Okwudibonye.
Final Results
On the women's side, Freshman, Sierra Passee led the way for the Hornets dominating the competition with speed; taking first place in the 60m Dash while setting a new personal record of 7.66 seconds. Passee marked the second-fastest time in school history. She continued her sensational performance taking first in the 60m Hurdles with another personal record and final time of 8. 78 seconds. Kahlia Smith, Merasia Johnson, Dominique Clement, and Miriam Okwudibonye added to the Hornets' success, striving for first in the 4x400m Relay with a final time of 3:49.43. The group set the season-best and fourth-fastest time in DSU history.
The Hornet's momentum continued in the invitational; Dominique Clement took fourth place in the 60m Hurdles with a personal record of 8.96 seconds. Followed by, Joy Taiwo's fifth-place finish in the 60m Hurdles with a final time of 9.02. Miriam Okwudibonye finished in the top 10 of the 400m Dash with a final time of 57.24 to close the FastTrack National Invite for the Hornets.
