DSU Women's Wrestling Announces 2025-26 Schedule for the First Time in DSU History

Dover, DE — On October 31st, 2025, the Delaware State Hornets women's wrestling program continued to make history and advocate for change, announcing their first 2025-26 Division I wrestling schedule since joining the Delaware State Athletics program. This marks the continuation of their partnership with HBCU Wrestling, helping revive a program that was once discontinued in 2009 due to financial and compliance challenges.

Delaware State wrestling, led by head coach Kenya Solan, will compete in 12 dual meets and will host their first home dual on February 1st, before preparing for the NCAA Regionals and NCAA Championships on February 21st and March 6th.

The Hornets kick off the season this Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, in East Stroudsburg, PA, for their first inaugural meet, then proceed to the Adrian College Duals on November 8th-9th. The following weekend (November 15-16), the Hornets continue on the road to South Carolina for a dual with Presbyterian and the Blue Hose Open, before returning to East Stroudsburg, PA, for a competitive Warriors Dual on November 23rd.

The wrestling program opens December in Bethlehem, PA, for a dual with Lehigh and ESU on December 4th, then heads to Newark, DE, on Friday, December 19th, for a dual with Greensboro College, closing out the December portion of the schedule.

The Hornets peek into January play with two meets before hosting their first home event in February: the Tornado Open(January 17th) and the Dual with NJCU, NEC, and UB (January 24th).

On February 1st, Coach Kenya Solan and the Hornets will host their first home meet of the season, then close out the regular season in Maryland on February 7th at the FSU Bobcat Open, before heading into the NCAA Regionals and NCAA National Championships.
