STONE MOUNTAIN, GEORGIA – The Delaware State University women's golf team finished third at the 39th Thomas W. Dortch Jr. HBCU Golf Classic on Monday and Tuesday at the Stone Mountain Country Club after two rounds of competition.
Delaware State finished with a 316 in round one, and on day two, the Hornets posted a 327 in round two, for a total score of 643.
The Hornets were 22 shots behind the leader, North Carolina Central University, who finished round one with a 318 and in round two with a 303.
After two rounds, Claudia Hofmeister stood first. Hofmeister, 151 (77-74).

The Hornets will travel to Cary, North Carolina for the 2024 SAS Golf Tournament. The first tee is set for Saturday, October 12.
