DOVER, DE --Senior Mayanah Mclntosh was dealing on Sunday, throwing a two-hit shutout to lead the Delaware State Hornets past the South Carolina State Bulldogs 1-0.

Mclntosh went the distance for Delaware State (11-23, ), giving up two hits, walking three and striking out 10.

At the plate, the Hornets were led by senior Uxua Modrego, who went 2-for-3 on the day. Freshman Annalise Santana put together a noteworthy day at the plate as well, going 1-for-2 with an RBI.

The Hornets took the lead for good in the first, scoring for the first and only time in the inning. Delaware State got an RBI single from Santana, scoring Modrego from third base. Mclntosh struck out 10 Bulldogs hitters. South Carolina State was led offensively by freshman Destiny Call, who went 1-for-3 with a double. Call led the Bulldogs pitching staff, throwing four innings of one-run ball.
