DOVER - The Delaware State University women's tennis team is back in the winner's column with a 6-1 win over Indiana University East in their home opener Saturday afternoon at Courtside Pickleball and Tennis Courts.
In the doubles matches; The Hornets swept the Red Wolves to earn the doubles point.
Clara Kuehnle started things off on court one, defeating Linda Marino, (6-1), (6-0). Ja'Nayah Pickens dropped to Brooke Schafstall on court 6, (2-6), (6-4), (0-1). Klaudija Lisovska and Eva Golembiovski picked up a win on courts two and three.
Rounding out the completed single matches, Brooklyn Bowen defeated Gracie Helms (6-4), (6-4) to give the Hornets the win.
The Hornets are back in action Saturday against Wilmington University Courtside Pickleball and Tennis Courts at 2:00 p.m.
