DOVER --The Delaware State Hornets got a boost from sophomore Hailey Ramberg, who collected four hits in an 11-6 win over Lincoln University in game two on Friday afternoon.
Freshman Kristin White (2-0) took the win in the circle for Delaware State (5-5).
Grad Student Uxua Modrego Lopez furnished a noteworthy performance at the dish as well, going 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hornets got the scoring started early, putting five runs on the board in the top of the second inning with the Lions having one run on the board. Delaware State's offense continued clicking the rest of the way, putting together six total hits in the remaining innings. Â
The Lions added three in the bottom of the third and two more in the fifth. Lincoln was led offensively by Junior Ashley Stringer, who went 3-for-3 with a single and an RBI. Cate Liskey led the Lions pitching staff, throwing five innings.

The Hornets will have a quick tomorrow, returning to action Saturday, March 9 when they travel to play a three-game series against Georgian Court University. First pitch is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
