GAME 1 | Le Moyne 6, Delaware State 3
DOVER, DE --Senior Hailey Ramberg went 1-for-3 with a double and three RBI, but the Delaware State Hornets still came up short on Tuesday, and suffered defeat at the hands of the Le Moyne Dolphins by a final of 6-3.
Senior McKenzie Yurcaba got the ball to start for Delaware State (6-7) and took the loss. Freshman Kristin White was a bright spot for the Hornets, coming out of the bullpen and throwing one scoreless inning, allowing no hits.
In the batter's box, the Hornets were led by Ramberg, who went 1-for-3 on the day with a double and three RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 6-0, the Hornets first put runs on the board in the sixth inning. Ramberg's bases-clearing double put all three runs on the board in the inning for Delaware State. The Hornets were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame. Delaware State went 4-for-10 (.400) with runners in scoring position. Le Moyne was led offensively by junior Dybacz, who went 4-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Senior L. Bennett led the Dolphins pitching staff, throwing seven innings of three-run ball.
