GAME 2 | Le Moyne 3, Delaware State 1

DOVER, DE --Senior Uxua Modrego went 1-for-2, but the Delaware State Hornets still came up short on Tuesday, and fell to the Le Moyne Dolphins by a final of 3-1.

Senior M. Mclntosh (0-0) got the ball to start for Delaware State (6-8) and took the loss. The right-hander went seven innings, giving up three runs, all of them earned, on five hits, allowing one walk and striking out six.

Modrego led the way offensively for the Hornets, going 1-for-2 in the ballgame with a walk.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Hornets got on the board immediately, starting their scoring with one run in the bottom of the first inning. Sophomore Kayla Lester came across to score the lone run of the inning for Delaware State and get them on the board. The Hornets were unable to hold the lead, as Le Moyne scored three times over the remaining six innings to grab the 3-1 win. Le Moyne was led offensively by junior Dybacz, who went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Freshman Exarchakis led the Dolphins pitching staff, throwing seven innings of one-run ball.
